Verdi Flair – Terms of Service
1. Introduction
Welcome to Verdi Flair!
We’re delighted you’ve chosen us to be part of your special moments. Our mission is to make renting fashion simple, fun, and stress-free — while ensuring every garment stays in beautiful condition for the next wearer.
These Terms of Service outline how our rental process works, including conditions of hire, payments, cancellations, care instructions, and returns. They’re designed to protect both you and us, ensuring your experience is smooth from start to finish.
By placing an order with Verdi Flair, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you ever have a question or concern, our friendly team is always happy to assist.
We may update these Terms from time to time, with changes taking effect immediately once published on our website. It is your responsibility to review them periodically. Prices and offers may change without prior notice. Continued use of our services means you accept the most recent version. If any major updates are made, we’ll do our best to notify you via email.
2. Definitions
- Renter – You, the individual using our website and services.
- Clothing/Garment – Any item available for hire or rented from Verdi Flair.
- Hire Cost – The rental fee payable for the chosen garment.
- Rental Period – The agreed duration of your rental.
- Replacement Fee – The full retail value payable if an item is lost, stolen, damaged beyond repair, or altered.
- Late Fee – A daily fee of R100 charged for each day a return is overdue.
- Administration Fee – May apply for late returns, cancellations, or exchanges.
3. Rental Conditions
- The standard rental period is 4 days, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- For extended rentals, please email phume@verdiflair.com or WhatsApp (+27 79 432 2376). Extensions are subject to availability.
- Rentals may be booked up to 2 months in advance.
- We ship nationwide within South Africa. Deliveries and collections take place Monday to Friday only (no weekend deliveries).
- No refunds are issued for garments that do not fit, as sizing risk is assumed by the renter.
However, if you notify us within 4 hours of receiving your order, you may be eligible for an exchange or partial refund (see Fit Policy below).
- You do not need to clean your garment before returning it — your rental fee includes standard dry-cleaning.
4. Payment
Payments are securely processed via our payment partner and accepted through Visa and Mastercard.
5. Garment Care & Liability
- Please inspect your garment upon delivery. If you notice any defects or damage, contact us immediately via email or WhatsApp with photos. This ensures you are not held responsible for pre-existing issues.
- Any known flaws will be clearly listed in the product description. By proceeding with the rental, you acknowledge these imperfections, and no refunds or credits will be issued for them.
Examples of acceptable minor flaws may include (but are not limited to):
- Faint stains
- Pilling, bobbling, or fabric pulls
- Loose threads
- Missing hooks or eyes
- Minor fraying or snags
As the renter, you are responsible for handling all garments with care. Please:
- Avoid contact with food, drinks, makeup, perfumes, jewelry, rough surfaces, and heat appliances.
- Do not alter, tailor, or wash the garment.
- Return it in its original condition and packaging.
- If an accident occurs, contact us immediately with images. We’ll assess the damage and discuss repair or replacement options.
- Repairable damage: you’ll be charged the repair cost.
- Irreparable damage, loss, or theft: you’ll be charged the replacement fee (the item’s full retail value) and may keep the garment.
- Late returns will incur a fee of R100 per day until the item is received back by Verdi Flair.
6. Fit Policy & Change of Mind
- If your rental doesn’t fit, please notify us within 4 hours of receiving it:
- You may request a size exchange (subject to availability) and will be responsible for any additional delivery costs.
- If you choose to cancel the rental within that same 4-hour window, you’ll receive a refund for the rental fee only(delivery fees are non-refundable).
- Exchanges for a different style or garment are also subject to availability and delivery fees.
7. Cancellations & Refunds
If you cancel 7 or more working days before your rental start date:
- You are eligible for a full refund or a store credit valid for 12 months.
If you cancel less than 7 working days before your rental start date:
- You’ll receive a store credit (valid for 12 months), but no refund.
Once your order has been shipped, picked up, or is ready for collection:
- No refunds or store credits will be issued, as costs such as dry-cleaning, packaging, and logistics have already been incurred.
8. Shipping & Delivery
- We offer nationwide delivery within South Africa, Monday to Friday only.
- Please ensure someone is available at your chosen address for both delivery and collection.
- If the courier is unable to reach you, additional delivery charges may apply.
- For next-day delivery in Johannesburg, your rental must be confirmed and paid for before 12:00 pm.
If your order is delayed, incorrect, or arrives in an unwearable condition due to courier error, you may:
- Extend your hire period (subject to availability),
- Receive a partial refund for unused time, or
- Cancel and receive a full refund.
If you are unreachable and your item is not collected at the end of your rental period, late fees of R100 per day will apply until the garment is returned.
